Terms and conditions
Booking agreement
By booking any makeup services, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions. The person making the booking accepts responsibility for all communications, payments, and arrangements relating to the booking.
A booking is only confirmed once a booking fee has been received and confirmation has been provided in writing.
Makeup trials
Bridal and special occasion makeup trials are strongly recommended before the event date.
Trials allow us to discuss your preferred look, assess skin type, and ensure that expectations are fully aligned before the event.
If you choose not to have a trial, I cannot accept responsibility if the chosen style, colours, or overall look are not as expected on the day. Refunds will not be offered due to dissatisfaction where no trial has taken place.
Trial appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged in full.
Booking fee & payments
A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your event date.
No booking is considered confirmed until the booking fee has been received.
The booking fee will be deducted from the final balance.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the event date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payments can be made via bank transfer or cash.
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking.
Travel
Travel is included free of charge within a 10-mile radius of Yeovil.
For locations beyond 10 miles, travel will be charged at £0.50 per mile.
Services are available throughout Somerset and Dorset. Travel to other areas may be available upon request.
Any parking charges, congestion charges, toll fees, or accommodation costs required for the booking will be added to the final balance.
For venues requiring significant travel or very early start times, overnight accommodation may be required to ensure timely arrival.
Large bookings & early starts
For larger bridal parties or bookings with strict time constraints, an assistant or additional makeup artist may be required.
Where necessary, any additional artist will be suitably qualified, experienced, and insured.
Any fees associated with additional artists will be discussed and agreed before the event.
An early start fee may apply where services are required before 6:00am.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, please notify me as soon as possible.
The booking fee is non-refundable under all circumstances, as it covers administration costs and the reservation of your event date.
If cancellation occurs within 30 days of the event date, any balance already paid is non-refundable.
Any completed trials or services already carried out are non-refundable.
If members of a bridal party cancel on the day of the event, no refunds will be provided.
Date changes & postponements
If your event date changes, please contact me as soon as possible.
I will make every effort to accommodate the new date, subject to availability.
If I am unavailable on the new date, the booking fee remains non-refundable, although any balance payments made towards services not yet provided may be refunded.
Prices may be adjusted for bookings moved to a different calendar year to reflect current pricing.
Allergies & medical conditions
Clients are responsible for informing me of any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, or skin concerns before their appointment.
While every effort is made to use professional products safely and hygienically, I cannot be held liable for allergic reactions or sensitivities to products used.
Please inform me if you have any contagious skin conditions, eye infections, cold sores, or similar conditions before your appointment.
I reserve the right to refuse treatment where there is a risk to health, hygiene, or safety.
All brushes, tools, and products are cleaned and sanitised between clients.
Photography & social media
Photographs may occasionally be taken of completed makeup work for portfolio, website, and social media purposes.
If you do not wish your photographs to be used, please inform me before your appointment.
Illness, emergencies & unforeseen circumstances
In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend due to illness, injury, or emergency, I will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable replacement artist.
If no replacement can be found, all payments received for services not yet provided will be refunded.
My liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the affected services.
Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, transport disruption, pandemics, acts of terrorism, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
Acceptance of terms
By paying a booking fee, booking a trial, or confirming an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
If you have any questions regarding these Terms & Conditions, please feel free to get in touch before booking.
